From Argentina to California, the wine industry is currently facing an acute glass shortage that is hurting small wineries particularly and forcing larger ones to think about the supply chain and ordering next years glass now. American Vintners have been struggling for decades. Tarrifs made some overseas options too costly and so they’ve been ordering glass from South America - where one of the producers had a fire a few months ago, putting pressure on the others to try and ramp up production.
